Fourteen years. Dozens of brands. One consistent through-line: communication that actually means something.

Fourteen years. Dozens of brands. One consistent through-line: communication that actually means something.

A Loeries 2025 Top 5 Student and multiple Certificate of Academic Achievement recipient, Janine graduated from aaa with a BA in Creative Brand Communication specialising in Copywriting and a philosophy that’s become her signature: good writing isn’t just read, it’s felt.

From an Ad Ops internship at OMD Worldwide to Digital Campaign Manager, through two years of building data-driven strategies at Flume for brands like Toyota, Absa, Woolworths, and Orlando Pirates, and now leading social at McCann Joburg – Zazi Ntozini has spent his career at the centre of where media, data, and creative collide.

Paige Zackey doesn’t predict rain. She builds arks. The Warren Buffett quote she keeps close says everything about how she approaches her work: with urgency, pragmatism, and the kind of conviction that turns a concept into something real.

Strategy is the art of seeing clearly when everything is moving fast. Lele Legalatladi has spent a decade getting very, very good at it.

Over two decades in the creative industry will either make you comfortable or make you curious. Gillian Attwood chose curious, every single time.

The marketing industry moves fast. The question is: are you moving with it or for it?

Some people fit neatly into a box. Hloni Sepanya broke the mould before she even graduated.

Mukona Ligege graduated cum laude. She also won the 2023 One Club Creative Bootcamp, earned a front-row seat at IAB’s top student programme, and walked away as both Top Student in Advertising and Top Student in Brand Management. And she did all of that while being a triathlete and Learn to Swim coach.

John Afolabi didn’t wait for permission to lead. With over six years of experience across front-end development, UI/UX design, and digital product thinking, he’s the kind of builder who starts with a concept and doesn’t stop until it clicks — for users, for clients, for the team around him.

Patrick Mentzel arrived at aaa straight out of high school with ambition, a sketchbook full of ideas, and a lot to learn about what creativity actually demands. What he found was an environment that pushed him to show up, solve problems, and deliver, even when inspiration had not yet arrived.

Meet our AAA #AList student for the week, @ariyana_0.o. One of the brilliant creative minds to come out of the BA Visual Communication degree, specialising in Graphic Design.

Today’s AAA #AList showcasing is a part 2 continuation of our 2018 alumnus, @ole.tshetlo, who is preparing to take his skills internationally and #ShapeTheWorld as an Art Director on the rise when he permanently moves to FCB Toronto later this year.

This week on the AAA #AList, we’re showcasing the work of Leigh Le Roux, one of our Alumni members, who loves to create, design and dream. Leigh is a full-time UI/UX Designer and Illustrator, who got his creative inspiration from watching anime.
