Mari holds a BA and an HDE from the University of Pretoria. She has an outstanding record of many years of excellent English Additional Language teaching experience at Grade 12 level. Her experience in English Additional Language teaching extends to higher level work in English Additional Language.
She has served as Moderator for Grade 12 Portfolios and Orals, Provincial and Chief Provincial Moderator for Grade 12 SBA and Internal Moderator for Paper 2 (Supplementary Exams) and Paper 1. In addition, she has served as Deputy Chief Marker for Paper 3 and Chief Marker (Paper 1; Paper 1:re-mark and supplementary exams; Paper 1, NATED).
