FOUNDATION PROGRAMME

The full-time AAA Foundation Programme is an innovative, interactive one-year pathway programme to prepare students for the pace and challenges of higher education.

There is ongoing support for students as they transition from school into higher education.

Support is provided throughout the year with a focus on student-centred personalised learning, developing life skills, providing individual feedback as they progress and by encouraging independent thinking and learning.

This programme consists of 8 modules:

  • Four modules focus on the essential academic skills needed for tertiary education including Academic English, Numeracy for Higher Education, Information Technology Fundamentals and Understanding Higher Higher Education.
  • Four modules are discipline-specific, relating to the advertising and marketing communication industry.

By successfully completing this programme, students will receive a AAA Certificate of Completion.

Completing the Foundation Programme also provides a pathway into AAA’s Diploma and Degree programmes

  • Those who have successfully completed the Foundation Programme, can enrol for any AAA BA degree if they achieved an average final mark of 60% or any AAA Diploma if they achieved an average final mark of 55%.
  • Foundation Programme students who have successfully completed the Marketing Management and Creative & Writing Skills modules will be exempted from Marketing Management 500 and Craft & Writing Skills 500 when they enrol for a AAA qualification.

COURSE STRUCTURE:

Some students may wish to do one or more of the modules individually instead of the whole programme to become better prepared for higher education.

This is advisable in online mode or by attending our Summer Schools.

Course commencement dates for 2021 to be advised.
