In this course, we will take a look at how to execute exciting and ground-breaking work in the marketing industry. Absolutely everything starts with a “BIG IDEA” and we’ll teach you the tools you can use in the conceptualisation process and how to carry those ideas through to the execution phase using the best layout, typography and imagery techniques. This course can only be taken by individuals that are comfortable with and have access to Adobe programmes such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (or equivalent software) as the module will have a practical element to it.
CONCEPTUAL THINKING AND COMING UP WITH THE BIG IDEA
This topic will teach you the various ways you can tackle a creative brief given to you. Often, creatives become “stuck” but we have a framework of twelve different processes to help you come up with the “Big Idea” that can be carried across any medium. In today’s world, creatives often get misguided by the channel (Social Media/Print/Outdoor) they are using and create just for that space. But a good idea has legs, and will be able to live on any platform. This is based on forming a solid knowledge of the Unique Selling Point and creating a Single Minded Promise that can carry the brand on any channel and then applying one of the twelve methodologies to get you there.
