AAA School of Advertising is celebrating student achievements at the Loerie, Effie, iPendoring, and New Generation awards, earning a silver Loerie, silver Effie, three iPendoring finalist spots, and two New Generation gold awards.
AAA School of Advertising is celebrating its students’ achievements across four South African creative awards programmes, with a silver Loerie, silver Effie, two gold New Generation Awards, and three iPendoring finalist spots.
The results recognise student work across integrated campaigns, design, art direction, and illustration, showcasing the range of creative talent emerging from the school. These achievements are particularly meaningful for the students, who are gaining recognition alongside industry professionals while still completing their studies.
Silver success at the Loerie and Effie Awards
AAA student work was shortlisted across five Loerie categories: Indoor Poster, Print & Design Craft; Art Direction; Integrated Campaign; Creative Strategy; and Print Design Craft.
Francois van Loggerenberg went on to win silver in the Student Integrated Campaign category, marking a proud achievement for both the student and the school.
Adding to the silver achievements, Tayla Cooper, Relilwe Mohlala, and Khanyisani Dlongolo secured second place in the Effie College Challenge category at the Effie Awards. The result adds recognition in marketing effectiveness to AAA’s awards achievements, highlighting the importance of connecting creative ideas with strategic thinking.
Three finalist spots at the iPendoring Awards
Lesego Thubela’s work earned three iPendoring finalist spots across Publication Design: Whole Publication; Student Print, Design & OOH Craft: Art Direction; and Student Print, Design & OOH Craft: Illustration.
The nominations recognise work across both publication design and visual craft, highlighting the attention to detail and creative thinking that students bring to their projects.
Double gold at the New Generation Awards
AAA also secured two gold awards at the New Generation Social & Digital Media Awards. Students Tayla Cooper, Khanyi Dlongolo, Refilwe Mohlala, and Francois van Loggerenberg are behind the winning work.
Their achievements add to a strong awards season for the school, with recognition spanning several creative disciplines and formats.
“Seeing our students’ work being recognised at these awards is a proud moment for everyone at AAA. Behind each result are ideas that have been questioned, refined, and developed with care. We congratulate our students on their achievements, and also the lecturers who have supported them. We look forward to seeing how they build on this experience as they enter the industry,” says Avikar Ramsundra, Dean of AAA School of Advertising.
For AAA, these results are an opportunity to celebrate every student whose work offers a glimpse into the future of advertising, while recognising the award recipients leading the way.
Entering an awards programme requires students to expose their ideas to scrutiny beyond the classroom, making the experience a valuable part of their creative development.
As these students prepare to take their next steps, the recognition offers an encouraging indication of their potential and the contribution they can make to the creative industry.
